A lifelong painter, I have always been inspired by nature. As far as I can remember I've been fascinated by the way the light filters through the trees in a forest, and it’s been a recurring theme in my work, along with landscapes and florals. It is the colours, textures, and the light in nature that are the source for the direction and themes of my work.
Although, I've studied art and painting more formally throughout the years, I've evolved as a self-taught artist and I have learned by experimentation and observing the techniques of other artists that I like.
I work in an colourist, expressive style, often mixing mediums, especially as I experiment with working in a more abstract style. . Always in evolution, I let my creative energy and imagination flow in order to capture and evoke the essence of the subject.
